Welcome Home

Chesapeake Neighbors offers high-quality housing that is safe, affordable, and accessible for everyone, regardless of income level.

Who We Are

Housing is the foundation of everything in a person’s life. That’s why Chesapeake Neighbors provides quality, safe, affordable rentals for people at any income level.
Chesapeake Neighbors has provided high-quality, safe, affordable housing for people throughout Central Maryland for almost 20 years. Our tenants are people who want an affordable, safe, and centrally located home. We focus on quality—offering modern amenities and properties that are conveniently located with easy access to community resources. And, our small, scattered-site, mixed-income approach means each property is part of creating a more diverse community.

Where We Work

Today, Chesapeake Neighbors currently owns and manages over 70 units across Maryland. We are actively seeking additional opportunities to develop more small-scale, scattered-site housing throughout the region.

Our work began in northern Anne Arundel County almost 20 years ago. Today, the number of units we offer and our reputation for delivering quality housing continues to grow.

  • We have over 50 units throughout Anne Arundel County.
  • 50% of our tenants use Housing Choice Vouchers.

Chesapeake Neighbors owns and manages two units in Caroline County. Offering quality affordable units located in rural communities are part of our scattered-site approach.

In 2022, Chesapeake Neighbors expanded to serve Kent County, and are actively seeking additional opportunities. We currently offer three units located in downtown Chestertown.

While we have offered housing throughout Talbot County since 2017, we are rapidly growing the number of units available to the community.

  • We have more than 10 units throughout the Town of Easton.
  • In partnership with Chesapeake Community Development we will offer 9 new units through The Residences at Port Street in early 2025 with another 7 units at The Laura House opening in Spring 2025.
  • We partner with the Talbot Interfaith Shelter to provide permanent supportive housing for people transitioning out of homelessness as part of our mixed-income approach.
  • In collaboration with Chesapeake Community Development and The Arc Central Chesapeake Region, we will develop hundreds of new units at the future sites of Easton Crossing and Silo Square.
