Development Pipeline

In 2022, we set an ambitious goal of adding 100 new units of affordable housing by 2025. Today, we manage a portfolio of over 70 units and are well on our way to meeting that goal.

We have four projects in various stages of development that will bring new housing to the region.

The Residences at Port Street

Chesapeake Neighbors is partnering with The Arc Central Chesapeake Region and Chesapeake Community Development to develop Port Street Commons.

Port Street Commons is a 24,000-square-foot multi-purpose space located in the heart of Easton. It will include both The Arc at Port Street, which will host The Arc’s Eastern Shore headquarters, and The Residences at Port Street. The Residences will include:

  • Nine 2- and 3-bedroom affordable apartment units;
  • Two units featuring universal design;
  • And two units that will provide permanent supportive housing for people transitioning out of homelessness through our partnership with the Talbot Interfaith Shelter.
    This new building is currently under construction; the development is scheduled to open in Fall 2024.
The Residences at WB&A

Chesapeake Neighbors is partnering with The Arc Central Chesapeake Region to develop The Residences at WB&A.

Part of our small-scale, scattered site model, The Residences at WB&A is a duplex located in Severn, MD. It will include two 2-bedroom apartment-style units that will provide workforce housing within Anne Arundel County.

This new construction is being developed on land currently owned by Chesapeake Neighbors and is located within an established neighborhood. The final design will reflect the look and feel of the community around it. This new building is currently under construction; the development is scheduled to open Summer 2025.
